2007' China International Cotton Conference with its topic “The Chinese Cotton Industry under WTO and its Implications for the Global Market” was held in Urumqi on June 26-29, 2007.
More than 800 international delegates from about 26 countries and 600 domestic delegates attended the conference.
2005' China International Cotton Conference (The fourth session)
2005' China International Cotton Conference with its topic “Experiences and Lessons of the Chinese Cotton Marketing Reforms since 1999 and the Implications of Doha Round Negotiations for the World Cotton Market” was held in Shanghai on June 21-24, 2005.
More than 250 international delegates from about 30 countries and 400 domestic delegates attended the conference.
2003' China International Conference (The Third Session)
2003' China International Conference with its topic of “The Implications of China's WTO Admission to the Chinese Cotton and Textile Industries and the World Markets” was held in Jiu Zhai Gou, Sichuan Province on October 27-29, 2003.
More than 160 international delegates from about 20 countries and 300 domestic delegates attended.
2001' China International Conference (The Second Session )
2001 China International Conference with its topic of “Prospects of the World Cotton Market and the Chinese Cotton Industry in the New Millennium” was held in Guilin, Guangxi province from June 27 –29, 2001.
More than 110 international delegates from about 17 countries and 190 domestic delegates attended.
1999' China International Conference (First Session)
1999' China International Cotton Conference with its topic of “Facing the challenge of the Outside and Domestic Cotton Industry” was held in Xi'an, ShanXi province.
The participants were composed of 45 international delegates from 15 countries and 80 domestic delegates.
2nd China Cotton Industry Development Summit Forum
The 2nd China Cotton Industry Development Summit Forum was held on August 8th-9th 2006, which was organized by the China Cotton Association. The first Forum had been held in 2004, which was under the theme of “The world-influential of China cotton industry”. China cotton industry influences the world cotton industry, and also is influenced by the latter. The globalization brings profound changes to China while engages us to consider more—China should keep pace with the global changes and should develop itself accordingly. There is a conflict existing in China. Limited by planting areas and water resources China cotton production can not get a great improvement in the short term , but the rapid development of China textile hastens the cotton consumption increase sharply—China cotton supply is shorter than the demand. It's necessary to solve such conflict through import cotton. China cotton and textile industry is one part of global industry. The industry's globalization is a necessary trend. It is the urgent time to discuss how to orient the China cotton industry, how to make sure the industry development strategies and how to fully guarantee the benefit of the domestic cotton industry while we are in the newly international market patterns.

China Cotton Trade Seminar 2006
The China Cotton Trade Seminar 2006 was held at Qingdao, Shandong Province, China on April 6 and 7. It was sponsored by China Cotton Association and International Cotton Association, and co-sponsored by Beijing Cotton Outlook and Cotlook Outlook. The theme of the seminar was “communication and cooperation”. The Seminar was intended to facilitate a unique opportunity for senior executives and purchasing managers of Chinese mills to meet representatives of international trade and discuss matters of mutual interest and to know more about the domestic and overseas cotton trade rules.
2007 Indian Cotton Trade Seminar
Indian Cotton Trade Seminar was held on Membai, Indian on March 15 and 16, 2007. It was organized by the East Indian Cotton Association and Cotlook Limited. And for this Seminar Chinese delegates had over-passed 70 people. It was the most for Chinese delegates to participate the conference held overseas.
